Coordinate and oversee activities related to calibration and dimensional evaluation programs within the internal laboratory to ensure that inspection, measurement, and testing equipment, measurement methods, and dimensional evaluations comply with standards and specifications. Activities: Promote #safety, health, quality and environmental protection in accordance with ISO 14001/ ISO 45001/ ISO9001 and applicable standards. Development of programs for the sizing of parts using a coordinate measuring machine. Run measurement routines to release work #orders. This includes all the activities required to: Confirm receipt of samples and specifications according to the Engineering level in the work request. Identify samples. Analyze specifications to determine the feasibility of all the features to be evaluated. Notify the applicant of the feasibility of the dimensional study. Schedule a measurement routine if deemed necessary. Run the dimensional. Prepare a dimensional report, confirming the final format with the applicant. Issue dimensional report. Provide notice of the completion of the dimensional study. Confirm the dimensions obtained in the internal metrology laboratory to ensure they were performed in a controlled manner. This includes all activities necessary to ensure that the laboratory's environmental conditions, the measuring equipment used, sample securing and #alignment, and the method of evaluating characteristics are reliable. Confirm the environmental conditions of the laboratory (temperature and humidity). Confirm that the measuring equipment used is calibrated and working correctly. Maintain traceability of data generated by the internal metrology laboratory to identify potential errors in product dimensional reports. Generate and maintain updated work procedures for the internal metrology laboratory aligned with the corresponding standards.
