As a Maintenance Technician, you'll be responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance on projects both large and small. Because Shell strives to carry out as much work as possible in-house, our team maintains a high level of expertise in generators, transformers, cables, switches, and safety relays. The installations are divided into 138 high-voltage substations spread across the Pernis and Europoort refineries. __ You'll perform most of your work with a colleague, which not only makes the work more enjoyable but also safer.. __ You'll be working with a colleague to perform the following tasks: Locating, analyzing and resolving faults Testing, inspecting, maintaining and improving installations Thinking along and advising on improvement projects and optimization of installations and maintenance __ Your work is very broad and challenging, partly because you'll be working with various voltage levels, primarily 400V, 3kV, 6kV, 25kV, and 66kV. You'll work with both old and new installations, from 1950 to the present. __ This work demands creativity, strong electrical engineering knowledge, and a good overview of complex systems. We offer you the opportunity to further develop your skills in these techniques, both through training and by working in a team with extensive experience and knowledge. __ Because safety is our top priority, we expect you to actively participate in safety, health, and environmental instructions, training, and toolbox meetings.
