Plans, develops, directs, and participates in the day-to-day electrical engineering activity on medium to large sized complex projects that require very major electrical engineering effort, or may be assigned responsibility for multiple smaller projects within a global business unit utilizing relevant Engineering Department Procedures (EDPs), design standards and guides, and Bechtel Standard Application Programs (BSAPs) __ Supervises, coordinates, and reviews the work of electrical engineering personnel assigned, estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work accordingly __ Provides the #technical input to meet procurement requirements __ Prepares or oversees the preparation of discipline estimates and work plan in accordance with project scope, schedule, and budget, and manages implementation and performance accordingly __ Maintains contact with other disciplines to ensure the coordination of the work within the project(s) and compliance with Bechtel/client requirements __ Reviews and makes recommendations of the #electrical aspects of bid evaluations and awards for approval by project #engineering When directed, coordinates with client representatives to obtain their approval of electrical aspects of the work __ Reviews and approves key calculations, licensing evaluations, design documents, supplier drawings and data, material specifications, drawings, and change orders, for the project to which assigned __ Ensures that assigned #electrical personnel receive appropriate on-the-job training for their professional development __ Provides mentoring and coaching for junior members of the team __ Other responsibilities as designated.
