Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II – Home Infusion is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex Home infusion pharmacy. This will include compounding medications using sterile aseptic technique, running total parenteral nutrition, maintaining the ISO 7 buffer room, abiding by USP 797 regulations, and inventory management. Additional responsibilities in the Staging area will include disinfecting supplies or drugs to go into the buffer room and labeling ready to use medications for dispensing. Technicians will be cross-trained and be competent in the Materials area. __ Job Expectations: Partner with pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to ensure pharmacy patients receive their medication(s) accurately, safely, in accordance with all legal requirements and policies and in a professional and timely manner. Under the direction of the pharmacist, fulfill and prepare prescription orders for delivery in an accurate and timely manner in accordance with all legal, regulatory agency and Fairview requirements. #Maintain #appropriate #stock levels of supplies to use within the buffer room on a daily basis.
