Performs #Electrical & Instrumentation discipline capital cost estimates. __ Coordinates #Engineering teams for quantity takeoffs. Resolve queries on takeoffs and establish a firm basis of quantities for scope and quantity reviews.. __ Participates in establishing pricing structures to be applied to quantities for estimates. Ensures that estimate is in line with market trends and pricing. __ Applies unit rates (cost and job hour) to quantities and performs portions of the total cost estimate within a discipline or commodity specialty using standard estimating templates. __ Provides input to estimate basis documentation capturing assumptions, rationale, scope inclusions and exclusions for specific contributions. __ Helps reporting efforts and estimate summary presentations for estimate reviews. __ Quantifies and spreads escalation based on project schedule and estimated costs. __ Researches, develops and maintains costs, quantities, ratios and metrics of the historical cost databases pertaining to specific section. __ Understands the #data and various sources of data. Extracts non-standard data and formulates the data into comparative summary format for analysis. __ Inputs cost data into the historical cost databases. Files completed estimates with all relevant back-up documentation. __ Helps the development of estimating standards and procedures. Overall __ Supports overall estimate generation and consolidation as directed by discipline leads and #Project Estimator following standard processes and procedures Assists in the preparation of cost studies, trend estimates, and life cycle cost estimates in area of specialization
