The SIXEP Continuity Plant (SCP), being delivered by the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) at Sellafield, will ensure the site’s existing Site Ion Exchange Effluent Plant (SIXEP) facility can continue its vital work for decades to come.  __ The newbuild SCP facility will play a vital part in Sellafield’s purpose to create a clean and safe environment for future generations. Once operational SCP will ensure the nuclear site will have continued availability to treat and make safe the effluent created by risk reduction activities. __ The Role Due to continuing work SCP are now looking to recruit a Senior Structural Designer to join the team in Birchwood. __ As a Senior Structural Designer your responsibilities will include: Develop innovative design solutions for complex nuclear projects, ensuring high standards and adherence to industry best practices. __ #Detailing, #Draughting and #modelling of structural steelwork and concrete including Concrete GA drawings and Concrete RC detailing __ Work with multi-disciplinary teams to create integrated design solutions, promoting effective cooperation across all functions. Deliver work in collaboration with site-based construction teams. __ Assist and mentor CS&A Apprentices and other Technicians, fostering their technical and professional growth. __ Apply and support BIM principles and processes, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
