We are looking to recruit and develop career minded people to bolster our well-established and growing multi-discipline engineering delivery capability to meet opportunities in the defence industry. Our projects include developing solutions in complex and exciting environments, in support of the UK nuclear submarine fleet; the air, land and sea defence establishments; and both existing and new build manufacturing facilities. __ As the demand for our services continues to grow, you will provide mechanical support to key client projects. Being part of a several hundred strong team across the UK, however you will work within the smaller and growing Mechanical Engineering team based in Glasgow, Bristol or Reading. . __ This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer who wants exposure to a wide range of engineering areas and phases. Our involvement with projects across the country continues to expand, so there will be many opportunities to develop and tailor your own career path. __ You will preferably have experience of working in defence or a similar industry, but also those with relevant mechanical design experience looking to work in a technically challenging environment are encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities: __ Provide mechanical engineering support to clients during development and analysis of mechanical systems and equipment. __ Produce documentation including diagrams; technical specifications; supporting #calculations and #analysis; #design evidence and justifications. __ Provide leadership and problem-solving ability to influence key design decisions. __ Provide a professional engineering service to clients and undertake design reviews and presentations where necessary. __ Liaise with cross-disciplinary engineering teams and stakeholders. __ Encourage development of less experienced engineers within the team.
