Continuously #improves work processes to #serve customers and meet #business goals. #Ensures high #quality pharmacy and #medication #management services. ------------- Manages all appropriate pharmacy processes and systems to ensure excellent patient care and timely and accurate delivery of medication services. Prepares and/or dispenses medications and compounded sterile products using good technique and safe practices, as appropriate to the role. Assures that medication storage areas and the medication use process meets all regulatory requirements in the assigned area(s), including, but not limited to, Board of Pharmacy, TJC, CMS, MN Department of Health, DEA. Manages staffing levels and drug expenditures to meet departmental budget parameters. Ensures that appropriate medication safety programs are in place to ensure the safest possible drug therapies. Develops and maintains programs designed to improve the skills of pharmacists, technicians, or trainees. Ensures that all relevant policies and procedures are followed. Understands and accepts the challenge of fiscal management. Fully comprehends the financial challenges in healthcare and is an effective steward of limited resources. Demonstrates ongoing fiscal responsiveness within and outside area of responsibility. Involves staff and stakeholders in financial management strategies. Serves as a resource to pharmacy staff members and encourages their development through coaching and mentoring.
