The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs. Perform engineering tasks in support of the Main Propulsion #Systems/Engines #engineering group. Candidate will perform engineering work in preparation for assembly, test, processing, and launch of #NASA's #Space #Launch System in support of the Artemis program. Conduct system tests, collect and analyze data on equipment performance. Troubleshoot equipment/ system anomalies. Initial assignments will focus on development of Work Authorization Documents to process, test and launch the SLS Rocket. Candidates will be required to apply knowledge of technical principles, vehicle processing operations concepts, ground to vehicle interfaces, and vehicle/ground system design and operation. Additional responsibilities in system training, vehicle processing, and launch certification will follow. Candidate will be expected to accomplish testing & operations independently, and act as Task Team Leader for assignments involving Main Propulsion Systems and Engines. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Perform other duties as assigned
