Core Responsibilities To be the country SME in specific solutions design skills and sector-specific skills/ tools To support the SD workstream in the pursuit of new business/ renewal of existing Provision of solutions/ analytical support for implementation/ re-engineering needs for key/ strategic projects as assigned To establish optimal costing/ commercialisation for New/ Existing business Engage and work closely with operations team on implementation of assigned projects Engage and work closely with BD and sector team on proposing solution design needs Customer Work proactively with the customer to identify potential commercial / service improvement opportunities Interact with customer senior management to uncover needs & opportunities. Develop and deliver innovative solutions and services that create value for customers and that help meet DSC's growth targets Actively collaborate with colleagues to develop new services / solutions that improve the customer experience Anticipate potential risks and proactively implements contingency plans with the support of customers Proactively review and improves internal processes that do not meet the customer’s needs Actively collaborate with colleagues to gain agreement and resources to meet customer needs Stakeholder Develop collaborative relationships with key stakeholders in other functions involved in new business opportunities, renewals and continuous improvement (e.g. BD, Operations, Project Management, Risk, IT, HR, Finance, Legal, Real Estate, etc.) to continuously improve the solution design process, production of deliverables (e.g. solutions, proposals, etc.) Define and manage Solution Design work stream deliverables across highly complex projects (multi–BU, cross–DPDHL, multi-phase) and support other key stakeholders to maintain alignment on project objectives. Ensure that key deliverables (data analysis, designed solutions & proposals) meet required quality & customer service standards and are signed off and agreed to by relevant stakeholders Utilise regional network to give SME input to projects & to ensure peer review of proposed solutions across region Act as a pointer/navigator for others to access Subject Matter Experts and knowledge within the wider region. Process Strategizing Contribute proactively with strategy team in reviewing and defining solution design strategy. Interpret local business needs & IBP to develop solution design strategies. Utilise expertise & market knowledge to provide inputs & insights to the Solution Design strategy. Designing solutions to deliver business growth, retain and improve existing business Identify and agree all “critical to customer” needs and validate data & assumptions to support robust design Manage the application of the DMADV methodology Model scenarios of current and future operational solutions & ensure use of best tools for more complex projects Drive development of Solution Design tools Advise the customer in new & innovative solutions which address the customer needs and demonstrate clear solution fit Produce, present and advise alternative cost benefit analysis &; value models Lead risk assessment on own and others solutions Do You Have What It Takes? Bachelor's Degree 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in contract logistics/supply chain industry Understanding of end to end SC Experience Understanding of solution design tools, techniques and procedures Warehouse, transport and supply chain knowledge. Exposure to modeling of complex warehousing or domestic transport network, logistics / transport operations, etc. An advanced user of tools such as Microsoft Excel to perform complex data analysis Fluent in English
