We are now looking for an experienced Head of Transport to lead our national transportation operations and drive excellence across Vietnam. This pivotal role reports directly to the Managing Director, Vietnam, and plays a key part in strengthening our position as the industry leader. As Head of Transport, you will be responsible for building a safe, efficient, and high‑performing transport network that delivers consistent service quality to our customers. You will champion operational discipline, ensure full compliance, and drive continuous improvement across all transport activities. You will lead nationwide initiatives to enhance service reliability, optimize routes and fleet performance, define fleet investment strategies, manage subcontractor partnerships, and introduce innovative transport solutions that support our customers’ evolving needs. Your leadership will directly contribute to sustainable business growth and an exceptional customer experience - which reflects the service excellence we stand for at DHL. Responsibilities Establish effective and cost-efficient transportation within Vietnam for all DHL Supply Chain (DSC) businesses. Define best-in-class transportation and service levels, operational processes including commercial terms for all business units to be used both internally and externally. Ensure the company delivers operational consistency across all businesses with a standard operational template, IT solutions, and commercial approaches. Establish a nationwide network with team structures to share best-in-class processes including purchasing methods and modes such as FTL, LTL, Milk-Run, MUF Network and Metro deliveries Manage own fleet and driver operations Manage transportation subcontractors – developing partnerships and programs which create business value and delivery safe transport solutions. Ensure DSC complies with Safety and Country legal requirements for its own fleet and dedicated subcontractor fleet operations Drive transport digitalization initiatives, enable data-driven decision-making through standardized KPIs, reporting, and transport performance analytics. Set performance targets and evaluate performances against those targets and goals. Provide strong leadership and inspirational direction, fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and high performance. Promote individual career development, continuously striving for improvement and growth. Requirements Bachelor’s degree or higher education level At least 10 years' experience managing teams within logistics/transportation sector Experienced in fleet investment and management Proven ability to take full responsibility for end-to-end transport operations and lead large teams, serving a diverse customer portfolio. Understanding of all transport methods regards capability, capacity, cost and competence Experience delivering change initiatives, including implementation and change management. Demonstrated experience leading operational improvement and transport optimization initiatives. Strong leadership skills with ability to manage cross-functional teams Excellent analytical abilities coupled with commercial acumen Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage stakeholders and influence at all levels Fluent in English
