Rates&Credit Dealer-to-Client eTrading (D2C) Modernisation The D2C platform provides liquidity on Bonds, Rates Derivatives, Credit Derivatives, Repo, and ETFs to Deutsche Bank’s Institutional Clients. It connects with 10+ leading multi-dealer platforms, streamlining electronic and voice trading requests, routing liquidity to relevant Trading desks, and automating execution logic. As part of our platform modernization program, we are re-architecting key components, building modern React-based web UIs, and migrating services to the cloud to enhance scalability, resilience, and client experience. As a Senior Java Engineer (f/m/x), you will play a key role in this transformation, working across backend to deliver the next generation of Deutsche Bank’s electronic trading capabilities. → You love this job but feel you cannot tick 100% of the boxes? Your key responsibilities Design and implement technical solutions for platform modernization and cloud migration Enhance and maintain backend services in Java, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability Collaborate with architects, UI/UX designers, and product owners to deliver high-quality features Provide L3 support of the platform – analyze and diagnose production issues (periodic rotation of teams) Contribute to process improvements and best practices in software development and delivery Your skills and experiences Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in an agile, collaborative environment Strong knowledge of Java (collections, multi-threading, networking) with many years of working experience Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) Basic knowledge of SQL relational databases solutions and Linux Experience in design and development of distributed, cloud-ready applications and knowledge of messaging technologies (JMS, Solace, IBM MQ or similar) is a plus What we offer We provide you with a comprehensive portfolio of benefits and offerings to support both, your private and professional needs.
