Job Description: Job Title: Senior Engineer, AVP Location: Pune, India Role Description We are seeking a seasoned and highly motivated Senior Java Developer to join our dynamic engineering team. Complex Problem Solving: Architect and implement solutions for complex business requirements, ensuring high performance and maintainability. Technical Leadership: Drive technical excellence within your project team, making critical decisions on architecture and implementation while ensuring adherence to best practices. Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor and guide junior developers through constructive code reviews, pair programming sessions, and technical guidance, fostering a culture of growth and continuous learning. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery from conception to production. Operational Excellence: Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues, identify root causes, and implement preventative measures to improve system stability. Your skills and experience Experience: 8-12 years of professional experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on backend systems using Java. Java Proficiency: Expert-level knowledge of Java (Java 11/17+ preferred) and a deep understanding of the JVM. Frameworks: Extensive hands-on experience with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot, for building microservices and RESTful APIs. Architecture: Proven experience designing and building distributed systems and microservices-based architectures. Databases: Strong proficiency with both relational Oracle database. Software Craftsmanship: A firm believer in writing clean, testable, and maintainable code, with strong experience in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and integration testing. DevOps & Cloud: Solid experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI), containerization with Docker, and orchestration with Kubernetes. Hands-on experience with a major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP) is essential. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior team members effectively.
