Job Description: Job Title: Akamai WAF Security Engineer Location: Bangalore, India Corporate Title: AVP Role Description As WAF security Engineer, you will be pivotal member of the team that builds and maintains the infrastructure. Candidates applying for this position should be very experienced and highly skilled in Akamai CDN. A person who would be a successful candidate for this position loves challenges and problem solving. This role requires someone who can work both independently and as part of a team. You will collaborate closely with engineers across Cloud Platform, Infosec and Engineering. This position is also responsible for delivering monthly metrics and coordinating internal and external audits in Partnership with Control Owners and external Auditing firms. Troubleshoot Akamai and F5 -related issues, analyzing logs and traffic patterns to identify root causes Advise technology teams and management of identified risks and treatment options. Ensure compliance with security standards by configuring SSL/TLS, bot mitigation, and DDoS protection Audit Execution and Risk Analysis Monthly Metrics Audit Coordination and Delivery Reporting and Status management Participate in on-call rotation over weekend Your skills and experience Familiarity with CDN integrations and API security Frameworks. Proven experience with Akamai and F5 WAF solutions, including CDN, WAF, and performance optimization tools Experience in integrating websites and implementing CDN technologies (performance, security, reliability, scalability) Experience on Splunk, or other SIEM (security information and event management) Monitoring Strong knowledge of HTTP/HTTPS protocols, DNS, and web architecture Strong proficiency in CDN configuration and administration and understanding of core networking concepts Experience monitoring Akamai services for performance and availability using Akamai Control Center and other monitoring tools and troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Akamai configurations and performance Understanding of Post Quantum Cryptography, SSL/TLS How we’ll support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Coaching and support from experts in your team A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs About us and our teams Please visit our company website for further information: https://www.db.com/company/company.html We strive for a culture in which we are empowered to excel together every day.
