You will have the responsibility to develop and optimize Shield AI’s warehousing and material flow operations for best-in-class quality, reliability, speed, and asset utilization. This role involves using lean material flow principles, data analytics, problem solving, and modeling, to ensure the safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of all materials.\nWhat you'll do:Develop and implement layouts for material flow and storage to achieve targeted inventory levels for new and existing facilities. Ensure that storage strategies are aligned across the supply chain.Design and implement strategies for efficient material flow from receipt to production lineside and any reverse logistics required. Use value stream mapping to ensure end-to-end process optimization.Develop packaging solutions for use inside Shield AI facilities and between suppliers. Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure packages are optimized for efficiency, part safety, and logistics density.Create capacity models to ensure we have adequate storage solutions.Required qualifications:Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience5+ years in an engineering role in a manufacturing environment, preferably working directly on material flow engineering solutionsAbility to read technical documentation such as drawings and CAD dataPreferred qualifications:Demonstrated leadership driving projects from concept to completionExperience with material handling equipment and packaging design and implementationExperience with factory design and set upExperience with value stream mapping, continuous flow, single piece flow, and workstation designUnderstanding of a variety of hardware manufacturing processes for both electronics (PCBAs, sensor hardware, etc.) and structures, mechanical components, and electromechanical systems\n$100,000 - $160,000 a year\n#LI-JM1#LCFull-time regular employee offer package: Pay within range listed + Bonus + Benefits + Equity Temporary employee offer package: Pay within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
