Our team is designing a flight critical, custom avionics system to support communications, compute, AI, power, telemetry, and all other needed aircraft systems.An Avionics Specialist - High Voltage supports the entire Avionics team and other cross-functional teams. It is an essential role spanning design, verification, procurement, manufacturing, and test. You will work specifically with the Power Systems team as they design and verify all X-BAT high voltage power systems. This includes the generator, battery, and all power converters. \nWhat you'll do: Set up and execute test campaigns for custom circuits and sub-systems such as verifying logic levels, voltage rails, and basic circuit functionsPerform benchtop PCBA testing and debuggingSupport engineers through environmental qualification that includes temperature, vibration, altitude, humidity, etc.Design, verify, and deploy simple PCBAs, fixtures, and harnessesAssist with the avionics lab design and buildoutRequired qualifications2+ years working around high voltage, high power systems. Such as 270V and higherExperience performing benchtop testing with basic EE equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, electronic load, thermal chamber, etc.)Experience performing PCBA and harness reworkProficiency reading and interpreting schematicsExperience working on multidisciplinary hardware development projects, which can be from an internship, job, club, team, personal project, etc… Demonstrated history of showing ownership of project outcomes and delivering exceptional resultsRecord of working hard, being a trustworthy teammate, holding yourself and others to high standards, and being kind to others\n$36 - $54 an hour\n#LI-JM2#LCFull-time regular employee offer package: Pay within range listed + Bonus + Benefits + Equity Temporary employee offer package: Pay within range listed above + temporary benefits package (applicable after 60 days of employment)Salary compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, licenses and certifications, and specific work location.
