In this high-impact role, you will own the engineering vision for how third-party developers, partners, and native integrations interact with our platform. You will oversee multiple squads responsible for our Public APIs, Monetization infrastructure, and the App Marketplace.Your focus will be on building a world-class developer experience, ensuring API scalability, and driving revenue through robust monetization channels, all while mentoring engineering leaders and fostering a high-performance culture.\nResponsibilities:People Leadership and Team Development:Mentor and coach Engineering Managers, Staff Engineers, and Tech Leads, fostering a culture of technical excellence and ownershipLead performance evaluations and create clear career distinct paths for engineers within the Marketplace organisationBuild a resilient team capable of managing high-traffic public APIs and complex financial transactions with zero margin for errorExecution & Strategic Delivery:Translate complex business requirements into scalable technical roadmaps for the Marketplace ecosystemDrive process improvements to manage the lifecycle of hundreds of integrations and thousands of developer appsEnsure teams are set up for agile delivery while maintaining strict security and governance standards required for open platformsProduct and Technology Oversight:Oversee the architecture of our Public API (v1/v2), ensuring backward compatibility, versioning strategies, and high availabilityCollaborate with Product Managers to design the "Plumbing" of our economy—from payout automations to usage-based billing systems.Maintain high engineering quality across the SDKs, Sandbox environments, and Native IntegrationsBusiness Alignment and Vision:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define the strategy for the App Marketplace and Partner ProgramDesign extensible architectures that allow our platform to integrate seamlessly with major players (Google, Meta, Slack) and custom solutionsRequirements:Extensive hands-on experience with Node.js and Vue.js (or React/Angular)SaaS Experience: Majority of experience in a high-growth SaaS company is a huge plusEcosystem Experience: Proven track record of building/managing Public APIs, Developer Platforms, or App MarketplacesLeadership: 10+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in leadership or management roles managing other managers or multiple teamsEducation: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related fieldStrong capability in architectural decision-making regarding API versioning, backward compatibility, and system security\nEEO Statement:The company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
