Work across two iconic brands, Princess Polly and Petal & Pup, as the Payroll & Compliance Manager, leading payroll operations, compliance, and governance across both businesses.This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for delivering accurate, compliant and scalable payroll outcomes while actively managing payroll risk as the business grows. You’ll lead and develop a team of Payroll Officers across brands, partner closely with Finance and People & Culture, and provide senior leadership with confidence that payroll systems, controls and compliance obligations are managed accurately and effectively.Reporting to the VP Finance & Operations (Petal & Pup), this role sits at the intersection of payroll delivery, compliance, governance, and operational decision-making. You’ll play a critical role in enabling growth, protecting the business, and supporting a strong employee experience.\nWhat you’ll be doingLead end-to-end payroll operations across Princess Polly and Petal & Pup, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and consistencyManage and develop Payroll Officers across both brands, building capability. Own payroll governance, compliance and risk management, ensuring adherence to all relevant Australian payroll legislation and awardsAct as the escalation point for complex payroll matters, audits, and external stakeholders (ATO, auditors, regulators)Oversee statutory reporting, including PAYG, superannuation, payroll tax, STP, ESS and other regulatory obligationsLead the operational ownership and optimisation of the Rippling payroll platform, including award interpretation, system configuration, testing and change managementPartner closely with Finance, People & Culture (TX), and Technology to ensure payroll systems and processes support business growthDrive continuous improvement through automation, process optimisation and strong payroll controlsWhy join usShape the future of payroll across two growing global brands and influence how we scale responsibly and efficiently.Step into a role with real ownership, influence and visibilityBe part of a collaborative, high-performing finance teamFlexible working options and a culture that values balanceThe opportunity to shape payroll governance as the business scalesWhat we’re looking forExtensive experience leading payroll in a complex, multi award environmentStrong working knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards and statutory obligationsProven experience managing payroll compliance, governance frameworks and auditsDemonstrated experience leading and developing payroll teamsProven hands on experience with payroll systems, with Rippling experience highly advantageous.
