This team builds and maintains critical platform components such as version control, solution governance, and backend mechanisms that power collaborative development.Most development is C#/.NET and backend-focused, with selected native UI components also implemented in C#.The Role:Are you a hands-on, proactive C# developer who enjoys building complex development platforms? Do you want to work on an IDE used by thousands of professional and citizen developers alike? Are you motivated by solving architectural challenges and simplifying complexity for others?As a Senior C# Software Engineer, you will take ownership of core functionality within Studio Pro. You will design, extend, and refactor platform mechanisms that enable version control, governance, and application development at scale. Your work directly impacts how Mendix developers build, collaborate, and deliver applications worldwide.\nResponsibilities: Design, implement, and maintain core Studio Pro functionality using C# and .NETAnalyze complex problems and break them down into clean, maintainable solutionsApply an iterative development approach, delivering improvements in short feedback cyclesInvestigate existing functionality to refactor, improve performance, and introduce new featuresTake ownership of quality through proactive risk identification, testing, and code reviewsCollaborate closely with team members, valuing shared ownership and knowledge exchangeContinuously learn and stay current with platform engineering, tooling, and software design best practicesRequired Experience: 4 plus years of professional experience in C# and .NETStrong background in backend development and desktop application developmentExperience designing and delivering large-scale components or systemsSolid understanding of unit testing, test automation, and code review practicesFamiliarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional development teamsNice to have: Experience building web applications with TypeScript and ReactKnowledge of Domain Specific Languages (DSLs) and metamodelingExperience designing frameworks or platforms for broad internal or external usageFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins or BambooExperience with multi-platform development, including macOSHands-on experience building Mendix applications\nWhy Join Mendix?Build tools for other developersYour work powers the tools that thousands of developers rely on daily.
