About the roleWe’re looking for an experienced Associate Client Services Director to provide senior strategic leadership across a diverse portfolio of client programmes.In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior client stakeholders, shaping long-term account strategy, elevating delivery models, and driving commercial growth. You’ll partner closely with multidisciplinary teams—spanning scientific, editorial, project management, creative, and digital—to ensure our programmes deliver exceptional value, innovation, and impact.This is a role for someone who brings strategic clarity, commercial maturity, and the ability to elevate both clients and internal teams through confident, forward‑thinking leadership.\nWhat you'll doProvide senior strategic oversight across large, complex, or global medical communications programmes.Ensure alignment between client objectives, delivery models, and commercial outcomes to maximise long‑term value.Identify opportunities to enhance innovation, efficiency, cross-functional integration, and new service offerings.Serve as a trusted consultant to clients on scientific exchange, medical education, publications, congress strategy, and digital engagement.Maintain a strong “big picture” view of account health—anticipating risks, challenges, and delivery needs before they arise.Act as a senior escalation point for internal teams and client partners.Shape and evolve account strategies, supporting the shift from tactical delivery to strategic consultancy-led engagement.Contribute to forecasting, account planning, and commercial optimisation to drive sustainable growth.Build and mentor high-performing account teams—coaching emerging leaders and senior account managers to strengthen strategic and commercial capability.Embed best practices that enhance quality, consistency, scalability, and collaboration across programmes.About you 10+ years’ experience in medical communications, healthcare communications, or life‑sciences agency environments.Proven experience leading complex, multidisciplinary scientific communication programmes.Strong track record in organic account growth, proposal development, or new business initiatives.Experience across Medical Affairs, Publications, and/or Promotional Medical Education, with solid understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks.Confident advising on and delivering integrated engagement models, including scientific exchange, education, congress strategy, digital solutions, and omnichannel approaches.Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and build trust with senior client stakeholders.Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, understanding value creation, margin, scope, and negotiation dynamics.Demonstrated leadership capability—experienced in coaching, developing, and empowering teams.Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree (MSc, PhD, PharmD, MD, MBA) advantageous.\n$170,000 - $190,000 a yearWe are committed to offering a competitive and fair salary that reflects your location, skills and the experience you will bring to our team.
