You may also contribute to internal program support for procedure manuals, technical specifications, process documents, and internal communications. This role will be able to work at our Toronto location or remotely (North America). \nKey Responsibilities:Own the end-to-end development of customer-facing proposals (RFI, RFP, RFQ, ROM, and formal quotes), from kickoff through submissionIndependently drive the development of high-quality, compliant, and persuasive proposal documentation tailored to the customer and procurement requirementsDetermine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension, considering the target audience for various types of documentationWork with subject matter experts to prepare, review, revise and maintain technical documentationLead cross-functional proposal efforts by guiding contributors, managing review cycles, and ensuring schedule and quality objectives are metAdvise on technical writing strategy and documentation related process developmentBuild and maintain reusable proposal content libraries, templates, and response frameworksRequired Skills & Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a Technical Proposal Writer or similar relevant roleBachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Technical Writing, or other relevant degreeExperience gathering and analyzing technical information from various sources to document new and changing requirements and to document processes and proceduresExperience creating and using infographics such as diagrams, screenshots, charts, workflows, and with graphic tools for simple designs and photo editing that increase users’ understandingExperience developing and maintaining templates for written documentation ensuring a consistent “look and feel” and meets and exceeds the company standards and internal communicationsExpert level use MS Word, Power Point, SharePoint, and ConfluenceWillingness to learn new processes, tools, and professional talentsAbility to follow directions, meet evolving project requirements and produce documentation in a quick turn-around environment and ability to expand a skeleton write-up/outline into a fully comprehensive body of textExperience working work with cross-functional teams and towards aggressive deadlines, in team and individual setting, in a timely mannerBonus Points:Experience editing white papersExperience working in technical Agile/Scrum teamsDegree or Minor in a Technical and/or Engineering disciplineAbility to pick up and write about a sufficiently complex technical document Direct experience supporting space and satellite programs, technologies, or services\nSalary Range: $93,785 - 143,785 CADActual total compensation will be determined at the Company’s discretion and is based on a variety of job-related factors, which may include, but are not limited to, relevant knowledge, skills, experience, performance, and education and/or training.
