You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders to shape your team’s roadmap and set clear priorities. By working directly with users and partnering with internal product and GTM teams, you’ll develop a deep understanding of the problems we solve and translate those insights into thoughtful, high-quality solutions with product and design. You’ll guide sprint planning, mentor and delegate work to other engineers, and uphold engineering excellence across the team. But this is also a hands-on role: you’ll spend a meaningful portion of your time designing and writing code yourself. Core Competencies Team leadership and management experience — Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor engineers, manage sprint execution, set clear priorities, and create an environment where the team can deliver high-quality work at a fast pace. You know how to balance support, autonomy, and accountability. Full-stack product development — Proven experience building end-to-end products or major features, from architecture and implementation through launch and iteration. You’re comfortable working across the stack and making sound technical decisions. Strong product intuition — Capable of navigating ambiguous problem spaces, identifying what matters most, clarifying vague requirements, and making thoughtful trade-offs that maximize user and business impact. User experience mindset — You care deeply about the feel and clarity of the product. You think holistically about user flows, edge cases, and interaction design, and partner closely with design and PM to deliver polished experiences. Tech Stack — Hands-on TypeScript/Node.js backend experience Nice to Have Experience building AI agents or LLM-powered features Startup experience, especially in fast-paced, zero-to-one environments Founder experience or demonstrated entrepreneurial ownership Ideal Candidate 7+ years of experience in software engineering Values in-person collaboration and thrives in the energy of working alongside driven, high-performing teammates.
