The role focuses on invoice processing, payment run preparation, exception resolution and operational accuracy with an interest in using automation and AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort. This role will be hybrid, with the expectation that you work from the Portland office three days a week.\nHow will you contribute?Lead daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and paymentsOversee coding of invoices to appropriate accounts and vendor records, maintaining compliance with organizational standardsCoordinate and prepare weekly payment runs in accordance with established schedulesResolve vendor inquiries related to invoice status, discrepancies, and payment timingMaintain accurate vendor records, payment terms and AP documentationPerform quality checks to ensure accuracy and compliance prior to paymentSupport month-end close activities, including accruals and account reconciliationsAssist with mentoring, training, and reviewing the work of AP analysts to maintain high performance standardsIdentify and address issues within the Accounts Payable process to mitigate risksUse automation and AI-assisted tools to develop and implement process improvements for enhancing efficiency and accuracy in the Accounts Payable lifecycle Participate in testing and adoption of invoice capture, OCR, and automated matching solutionsMaintain and update standard operating procedures as processes evolveWhat will you bring?Bachelor or Associates degree4+ years of hands-on Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environmentStrong knowledge of invoice processing, payment run preparation, and AP controlsExperience working in ERP systems (NetSuite experience a plus) and AP automation workflowsDetail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsPreferredExperience with automated or AI-enabled invoice processing toolsInterest in operational efficiency, process improvement, and automationExperience supporting system enhancements or workflow improvementsWhat do we offer?We value our people and offer a competitive salary along with company bonusPeer 2 Peer recognition platformStrong maternity and paternity schemeA workplace pension schemeTake what you need holiday packagePrivate medical insuranceDental planGroup life assuranceGroup income protectionEmployee assistance programmeA monthly wellness allowanceAdoption assistanceStock options\n$74,900 - $102,500 a yearThe above salary range represents Smarsh's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible base compensation at the time of posting.
