The ideal candidate will have experience programming CNC machines (mills, lathes, routers) and a deep understanding of machining processes and quality standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering, design, and production teams to create high-precision parts that meet rigorous military specifications.\nResponsibilitiesCNC Programming: Write, test, and optimize CNC programs for milling, turning, and other machining processes for complex components used in autonomous maritime systems.Toolpath Development: Utilize CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Fusion 360) to generate efficient and precise toolpaths, ensuring high-quality output and minimal machine downtime.Machine Setup and Operation: Assist in setting up and operating CNC machines, including loading tools, fixtures, and raw materials, and ensuring machines run at optimal efficiency.Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to develop accurate programs and ensure parts meet the required tolerances.Quality Assurance: Perform in-process inspections and collaborate with quality control teams to ensure parts are within specified tolerances and meet the high standards required by the DoD.Collaboration: Work closely with design engineers, R&D teams, and production staff to optimize manufacturability, solve technical challenges, and ensure seamless integration of components into the ASV systems.Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate manufacturing processes, recommend improvements, and implement best practices to reduce waste and enhance productivity.Documentation: Maintain clear and accurate records of programs, revisions, and machine setups.
