Saronic Technologies is a leader in revolutionizing autonomy at sea, dedicated to developing state-of-the-art solutions that enhance maritime operations through autonomous and intelligent platforms.Job OverviewSaronic is looking for an exceptional senior accountant to join the accounting team supporting a rapidly growing international manufacturing organization. You will be responsible for analyzing and reconciling balance sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring transactions are properly accounted for in our financial systems.  You will also work closely with members of the accounting team and throughout the business to improve cross-functional processes and the related system solutions. You will be an instrumental part of creating and maintaining the policies and procedures needed to scale our organization.\nResponsibilities:Manage and execute complex areas of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring deadlines are met and all accounts are reconciled accurately.Prepare, review, and approve complex journal entries, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation is maintained.Own the execution of month-end close cost allocation processes, partnering with Accounting and Finance to design and refine scalable methodologies for allocating shared and indirect costs between cost of revenue and operating expenses.Perform detailed reconciliations and analysis of assigned balance sheet accounts, particularly those requiring complex judgment (e.g., accrued liabilities, intercompany balances).Assist in the preparation of internal financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP and company policies.Support audit requests and ensure documentation is organized and complete.Identify and implement workflow and system improvements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and automation.Collaborate on the development of policies and procedures as we scale our organizationManage multiple tasks with strict deadlines and maintain attention to detail.Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and build strong cross-functional relationships across the organizationQualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of progressive accounting experienceSolid understanding of accounting principles (GAAP), practices and proceduresAbility to read, understand, and interpret financial documents and contractsAbility to think critically about transactions and suggest out of the box solutionsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlinesStrong MS Office skills (pivot tables, xlookups, etc.)Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environmentAbility to handle confidential matters with discretionAbility to solve problems as they arisePreferred Qualifications:Public accounting experience, preferably within the Big 4Netsuite experience (preferred) or other accounting ERP experienceExperience in a fast-paced, rapidly scaling organization\nBenefits:Medical Insurance: Comprehensive health insurance plans covering a range of servicesSaronic pays 100% of the premium for employees and 80% for dependentsDental and Vision Insurance: Coverage for routine dental check-ups, orthodontics, and vision careSaronic pays 100% of the premium under the basic plan for employees and 80% for dependentsTime Off: Generous PTO and HolidaysParental Leave: Paid maternity and paternity leave to support new parentsCompetitive Salary: Industry-standard salaries with opportunities for performance-based bonusesRetirement Plan: 401(k) plan with company matchStock Options: Equity options to give employees a stake in the company’s successLife and Disability Insurance: Basic life insurance and short- and long-term disability coveragePet Insurance: Discounted pet insurance options including 24/7 Telehealth helplineAdditional Perks: Free lunch benefit and unlimited free drinks and snacks in the officeThis role requires access to export-controlled information or items that require “U.S. Person” status.
