In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and robust backend services and APIs that power our products and services. You will work in a collaborative, agile environment, contributing to mission-critical systems.\nKey Responsibilities:Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot or related web frameworks) or Python (Flask, Django)Design and implement asynchronous service communication using RabbitMQ or AWS SQS/SNSWork with NoSQL databases like MongoDB for data modeling and storageCollaborate with Product, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable featuresWrite clean, testable, and well-documented code with unit and integration testsParticipate in system architecture design, code reviews, and performance tuningQualifications:3+ years of experience with Java and Spring BootStrong experience with building and consuming REST APIsHands-on experience with message brokers such as RabbitMQ or AWS SQS/SNSFamiliarity with MongoDB or other NoSQL database technologiesSolid understanding of Git, CI/CD workflows, and agile development practicesExcellent debugging, problem-solving, and communication skillsExcellent problem-solving and debugging skillsStrong communication and team collaboration skillsNice to Haves:Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, etc.)Familiarity with Docker or KubernetesMonitoring and logging experience with Datadog (preferred), CloudWatch, or PrometheusExposure to distributed system architecture and scalability patternsBenefits:Competitive salary (CAD)Flexible working hoursGym reimbursement ($100/mo)Supplemental health insuranceProfessional development stipend$500 CAD wfh tech set-up reimbursement\n$100,000 - $150,000 a year\nThink you’d be a great fit?
