In this role, you’ll be a founding member of a growing team, helping us build and maintain relationships with Italy’s most premium and highly-regarded restaurant partners. Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining the Local Sales team. We are the driving force behind Deliveroo's selection, focused on acquiring high-profile restaurant groups and ensuring our marketplace offers the best culinary experiences in Italy. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like: Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coordinate, and mentor a team of Business Development Managers to hit collective acquisition targets. Strategic Partnerships: Work directly with the Regional Manager to facilitate and lead business meetings with high-profile restaurant groups. New Business Generation: Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities through strategic outreach and face-to-face meetings. Complex Negotiations: Conduct high-level business negotiations to acquire premium customers and expand our market footprint. Product Advocacy: Use your deep industry knowledge to demonstrate the value of Deliveroo’s technology and services to potential partners. What You’ll Need to Thrive Essential Leadership Expertise: Significant experience managing and developing high-performing commercial teams. Commercial Track Record: Proven background in commercial roles with a strong comfort level in targeting and securing new business. Strategic Negotiation: A tenacious approach to business development and a proven ability to lead complex, high-level negotiations. Senior Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills across all channels with experience presenting to and influencing senior partners. Results-Driven Mindset: A proactive attitude with a focus on ownership, autonomy, and hitting critical growth milestones. Nice to Have Industry Insight: Deep knowledge of the Italian restaurant industry and current market trends.
