We’re looking for a Business Development Manager to join our team in Rome on a 12-month fixed-term contract . This is a rare opportunity to become a founding member of a growing, well-funded company, collaborating with Italy's most premium and regarded restaurants. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining the Regional Sales team , reporting to the Sales Lead. You will be the face of Deliveroo in Rome, acting as an area-level expert who knows exactly what local customers crave. Strategic Prospecting: Map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurant partners across Rome in a highly organized fashion. Technology Advocacy: Communicate via physical visits, calls, emails, and social media to demonstrate the value of Deliveroo’s technology to local business owners. Partner Support: Act as a consultant for restaurant owners and managers, helping them overcome barriers to entry and providing a seamless joining experience. Market Immersion: Stay at the forefront of the Roman food scene by attending industry meet-ups and tracking up-and-coming culinary trends. Negotiation: Navigate commercial discussions to ensure win-win outcomes for both our partners and Deliveroo. What You’ll Need to Thrive Our ideal candidate is a tenacious "hunter" who enjoys the challenge of building new business: Sales Grit: Proven experience in sales with a focus on targeting and acquiring new business. Communication Mastery: High confidence in dealing with partners face-to-face, over the phone, or via digital channels. Negotiation Skills: Ability to handle objections and structure commercial deals effectively. Industry Knowledge: A strong understanding of the restaurant industry is a significant plus.
