Ko wai mātou - About usKia ora.  We’re Foodies.  You know New World, PAK’nSAVE and Four Square right?  That’s us!  With 300+ stores and over 24,000 Foodies across Te Ika-a-Maui, our North Island Co-op has the privilege of helping New Zealanders get more out of life.  Locally owned, we reflect the communities we serve, and we celebrate our people - our taonga, every day for being uniquely them. Our Support Centre is 1,000+ people strong, which includes 300+ IT employees, who all play a vital role in ensuring the cogs of our Co-op stay turning and our systems stay ‘byte’-sized and ‘bug’-free.” Te Tūranga – About the role As a Software Engineer you’ll be building scalable, robust and high-performing software services and applications using latest architectural patterns and methodologies while collaborating in a team of engineers, business experts and technical leaders.  You’ll work towards high test automation coverage by writing highly testable code. To do this, some of what you’ll do is: ·       Participate in designing, developing, maintaining and implementing solutions that meet approved standards and specifications.·       Understand business needs to translate them into software designs of components and subsystems.·       Perform code reviews to improve code quality, to reduce security concerns and to ensure we own a healthy codebase.·       Troubleshoot application production issues by performing application analysis, debugging, code modifications and functional testing.·       Participate in technical refinement of user stories, backlog grooming, spiking, proof-of-concepts.·       Perform regular code reviews within teams and across the organisation to ensure we maintain a healthy code base.·       Collaborate with the DevOps team to ensure a high level of CI/CD automation. He kōrero mōu - About youYou’re an experienced software engineer with strong skills in writing clean, testable code.  You contribute to healthy engineering practices, and enjoy collaborating in agile teams.
