We’re looking for a Account Operation Associate to join our Brussels team for a 6-month internship . In this role, you’ll help us manage the success of our On-Demand Grocery (ODG) partners, ensuring a magical experience for our users while building a sustainable foundation for our platform. Get to know our Commercial team — what drives us, how we work, and what you can expect. What You’ll Be Doing You’ll be joining the New Verticals team. This team is at the forefront of Deliveroo's expansion beyond traditional restaurants, focusing on the rapid growth of On-Demand Grocery and Convenience (ODG). You will work in a hybrid mode, balancing strategic office work in Brussels with active time on the road visiting our retail partners. Here’s what your day-to-day might look like: Portfolio Management: Oversee the commercial and operational success of a portfolio of partner stores, ensuring they hit performance targets and deliver an excellent user experience. Operational Excellence: Monitor daily data to analyse brand performance and identify the root causes of operational issues, implementing solutions to improve the service. Growth & Deployment: Drive the expansion of your portfolio by managing new store deployments and crafting effective marketing campaigns to boost visibility. Strategic Partnerships: Act as a Food Tech expert for your partners, building long-term relationships and ensuring compliance with all contractual commitments. Field Engagement: Spend time on the road to maintain a strong presence in your area, ensuring our operational standards are met on the ground. What You’ll Need to Thrive Our ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in some of these areas and curiosity to grow in others: Current Student Status: You must be currently enrolled in a University program in Belgium (this is a mandatory requirement for the internship). Commercial Mindset: Proven ability to handle sales discussions and negotiations, with a previous internship in account management or sales being a distinct advantage. Analytical Skills: A strong ability to dive into data to identify performance trends and create actionable improvements for our store partners. Customer-Centric Focus: A passion for using both quantitative and qualitative data to build a service that is operationally excellent for our users. Linguistic Proficiency: Fluency in French and English is required; knowledge of Dutch is a significant plus. Why Join Us?
