This position requires a thorough knowledge of water and wastewater systems and the ability to oversee the work of a team. The Lead O&M Tech will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulations and safety standards.Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm\nKey Responsibilities:Lead a team of workers in operations and maintenance of water and wastewater infrastructure, including but not limited to mains, lift stations, booster stations.Oversee customer service to residents and businesses, including responding to inquiries and complaints, and providing information about water and wastewater services.Schedule and prioritize work orders and ensure that work is completed on time.Oversee meter reading and meter read edit request.Oversee utility locate requests and ensure compliance with regulations.Ensure team completes daily required operational site inspections.Train and mentor crew members in proper maintenance and repair techniquesDevelop preventative maintenance schedules and assure compliance with the schedule and record keeping.Develops estimates for the repairs and maintenance. Coordinates projects with other departments and divisions as necessary.Manage inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance and repair tasks.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.Aid the plant operator with operations and maintenance of treatment facilities as needed.Respond to emergencies and troubleshoot issues in a timely and efficient manner.Cover for the manager during their absence, including managing staff, assigning tasks, and ensuring compliance with regulations.Perform all duties as assigned by management.What you will need to succeed:Minimum of 5 years of experience in water and wastewater maintenance and repairStrong knowledge of water and wastewater systems and componentsExperience leading a team of workers.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues.Applicants will possess proficiency with computers, including an ability to work with SCADA, Microsoft Word, Excel and maintenance management programs.Good communication and interpersonal skillsValid commercial driver's license and ability to operate a variety of tools and equipment.Water and wastewater certifications for Missouri (such as a minimum Class DSII or Class C certification) are highly preferred.Applicant must be able to understand and follow compliance standards.Successful candidates will be required to complete a background check, pre-placement physical and drug screen before employment.\n$33 - $35.50 an hourDepending on qualifications and experience.\nEmployee Support & Benefits Retirement Savings:•       401(k) Pre-tax or Roth Contributions: The company matches 100% of the first 3% of salary contributed Time away from work:•       Observed holidays: Choose up to 8 holidays to observe annually•       Vacation: Accrued based on years of experience and calculated on hours worked•       Sick time: Paid sick time for non-work-related illness or injury.•       Parental leave: Up to 80 hours of Paid Parental Leave for child bonding Coverage and support for your needs and well-being:•       Disability: Paid short- and long-term disability•       Health: Medical plan options; plus dental and vision plans.•       Life: Basic employee group life insurance and AD&D benefits; additional voluntary life insurance for employees and families is available through Sun Life.•       Wellbeing: DarioMind assistance program combined with personalized mental health and wellbeing resources.  E-Verify ParticipationWoodard & Curran participates in the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify program to confirm the employment eligibility of all newly hired employees.
