GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential.Position SummaryGHJ Search & Staffing has partnered with a growing biotech company seeking a VP Finance to lead the day-to-day accounting and finance operations of the company.\nKey ResponsibilitiesOwn and prepare SEC filings, including Forms 10-K, 10-Q, and other required public company disclosuresLead full-cycle accounting operations, including month-end and quarter-end closeEnsure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP, SOX, and ASC 606Prepare and review technical accounting memos and support audits and external reporting requirementsManage and develop a small accounting team (1–2 direct reports)Oversee internal controls, compliance processes, and coordination with external auditors and advisorsMaintain and improve accounting processes, policies, and documentation in a fast-paced environmentWork closely with cross-functional leaders to support business initiatives and future growthOperate comfortably in the details while maintaining a strategic mindsetQualificationsPublic accounting experience requiredDemonstrated experience preparing and filing SEC reports (10-Ks, 10-Qs)Strong knowledge of GAAP, SOX compliance, and revenue recognition under ASC 606Experience managing full-cycle accounting and financial reporting for a public companyPrior experience with Microsoft Dynamics strongly preferredCPA designation preferredProven ability to manage and mentor a small accounting teamExceptional attention to detail with a willingness to get into the weedsSelf-starter who thrives in a hands-on, remote work environmentBenefitsFull benefits package3 weeks of PTO100% remote work schedule\n$180,000 - $240,000 a year\n#GHJSS #LI-SV1
