Accounting Operations ManagerPosition SummaryThe Accounting Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing the company’s accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring accurate, timely, and efficient processing of transactions. This role manages daily accounting operations related to billing, collections, vendor payments, and cash application while strengthening internal controls and driving process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, process-driven, and experienced in managing accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.Accounts Payable (AP) OversightManage full-cycle accounts payable operations, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payment disbursementEnsure timely and accurate vendor paymentsOversee vendor onboarding and maintain vendor master data integrityMonitor AP aging and manage cash flow considerationsEnsure compliance with company policies and internal controlsAccounts Receivable (AR) OversightOversee billing, invoicing, and revenue processingManage cash application and account reconciliationsMonitor AR aging and lead collections effortsPartner with sales and operations to resolve billing discrepanciesAnalyze DSO (Days Sales Outstanding) and implement strategies to improve cash flowTeam LeadershipSupervise, mentor, and develop AP and AR staffEstablish performance expectations and provide ongoing coachingAllocate workload and ensure cross-training within the teamProcess Improvement & ControlsEvaluate and improve accounting workflows and automation opportunitiesMaintain and enhance internal controls related to payables and receivablesEnsure compliance with GAAP and company financial policiesSupport audit requests and documentation preparationReporting & AnalysisPrepare monthly AP and AR reports and metricsReconcile subledgers to the general ledgerAssist with month-end and year-end close processesProvide cash flow forecasting supportQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field5+ years of progressive experience in AP/AR or accounting operations2+ years of supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of accounting principles and internal controlsExperience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)Advanced proficiency in ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills\n\n$80,000 - $100,000 a year\n#GHJSS #LI-SL1
