We cover a wide range of areas — finance and accounting, sales operations, legal operations, compliance, and account management — but we treat them all as flavors of operations. Whatever the task, we take a systems-driven approach — design it, build it, and run it (ideally, automatically). Our goal is to free the rest of the company to focus on building great software.We’re looking for a high-powered generalist with strong verbal and analytical reasoning skills to own and run our commercial operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the systems and processes that underpin how we contract with customers and manage commercial risk, helping us close deals efficiently and serve a broader range of customers. You’ll manage contracting, partner closely with internal teams and external counsel to make business decisions on risk, and lead key compliance initiatives, translating complex requirements into practical, scalable processes. This role is well-suited to someone who is comfortable moving between big-picture thinking and detailed execution, and who enjoys turning ambiguous problems into working systems that reduce friction and help the business grow.\nResponsibilities Partner with external counsel and our Sales team to identify and mitigate business risks during contract reviewsMaintain and update contract templates, terms of service, privacy policies, and related documentsImprove and maintain systems that support our commercial operations (e.g. routing contract reviews, implementing and building-out our contract management system)Drive compliance-enhancement projects to reduce risk and expand our ability to serve regulated and enterprise customers.Note that this is not a people-management roleAbout youYou come from either a generalist business background (e.g. consulting, operations) or a legal background and are excited to expand beyond a purely legal role into commercial and operational decision-makingYou are a structured, analytical thinker with strong verbal reasoning skills, comfortable working with complex written materials and ambiguous problemsYou are comfortable working with numbers and have the ability and interest to learn financial conceptsYou can reason through business processes end-to-end and have the aptitude to improve or automate them over timeYou collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external experts (e.g. lawyers, customers)You are organized, able to manage multiple projects in parallel, and reliably drive work to completionYou have demonstrated sound judgment, ownership, and a bias for action in fast-paced environmentsYou bring a low-ego attitude — no job is too small or too largeStrong academic background with evidence of analytical rigorNice-to-have: MBA\nIf there's anything more you'd like to tell us about you or your interests, use the "additional information" section on the application page.
