About The Role Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Junior Billing & Accounts Receivable Specialist will support collection activities, track slow-paying customers, and escalate unresolved accounts to the appropriate teams. Additionally, they will assist with billing tasks. EliseAI is growing its in-house Accounting department to create a top-tier team that drives the company’s growth by supporting other business functions and providing insights into business performance. This role is crucial for resolving overdue invoices and enhancing the company’s cash flow. The position is based at our New York City headquarters. Key Responsibilities Monitor outstanding balances, proactively follow up on overdue accounts, and collaborate with customers to address payment concerns. This includes sending account statements, partnering with Customer Success Managers to resolve issues, and keeping detailed, up-to-date records of collections activities and documentation Ability to handle large volumes of AR and tailor collection methods based on customer responses or lack thereof Support the team by preparing and distributing complex accounts receivable invoices for customers using billing platforms like Subscript, NetSuite, and other relevant tools Create customized customer invoices for submission through third-party billing portals Assist in maintaining up-to-date customer information in Salesforce, NetSuite, and other billing solutions Assist with billing portal registrations and compliance efforts by coordinating with customers and, when necessary, collaborating with the legal team, customer success team, and insurance broker Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferred; major in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, or a related field preferred Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in billing and accounts receivable; high-growth enterprise, SaaS experience preferred Experience with accounting ERP systems in previous role(s) (NetSuite and Salesforce experience preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite applications, with advanced skills in Excel Direct and clear communicator, both written and verbal. Job Compensation Range: The salary range for this role is $63,000 - $70,000, based on experience. EliseAI offers a competitive total rewards package which includes base salary, equity and a comprehensive benefits & perks package. Exact compensation is determined based on a number of factors including experience, skill level, location and qualifications which are assessed during the interview process.
