Businesses can track and connect with couriers and follow up on their orders - all in one system.About The Role!We are looking for a First-Mile Operations Lead to own end-to-end daily pickup operations, including route planning, fleet and driver management, and real-time issue resolution. The role focuses on ensuring on-time pickups, optimal capacity utilization, and strict cost control while coordinating closely with inbound teams and merchants. This position requires strong planning, analytical skills, and a high-ownership mindset to drive operational efficiency, compliance, and performance against SLAs and budgets.Job Code:New 2026FULF-723\nJob Responsibilities Daily Pickup Operations:Own end-to-end execution of daily stock pickup schedules.Plan routes, vehicle allocation, and pickup sequencing based on volume, SLAs, and locations.Ensure pickups are completed within agreed time windows.Manage real-time adjustments for delays, no-shows, or volume fluctuations.Fleet & Driver Management:Manage drivers and vehicles Track driver attendance, utilization, and productivity.Ensure vehicle readiness, safety, and compliance.Support driver onboarding, training, and performance management.Cost Management & Optimization:Own first-mile cost control, including transport, fuel, maintenance, and 3PL costs.Track cost per pickup, cost per unit, and cost vs budget on a monthly basis.Optimize routing, vehicle utilization, and vendor selection to reduce costs.Prevent unnecessary trips, idle capacity, and cost leakage.Coordination with Inbound & Merchants:Align pickup capacity and schedules with Inbound operations to avoid congestion.Coordinate with Account Management and Merchants on pickup readiness and volumes.Ensure smooth and documented handover of stock to inbound teams.Documentation & Accuracy:Ensure accurate pickup manifests and system updates.Track and resolve pickup discrepancies, damages, or shortages.Maintain clear audit trails for pickups and handovers.Performance Tracking & ReportingTrack and report KPIs:On-time pickup ratePickup SLA adherenceCost per pickup / unitCapacity utilization %Failed or rescheduled pickupsProvide weekly and monthly performance and cost reports.Compliance & Safety:Enforce loading, transport, and safety standards.Ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.Investigate incidents and implement preventive measures.Job Requirements Required Qualifications & Experience4–6 years of experience in fleet, transport, or logistics operations.Proven experience in first-mile logistics and pickup operations.Strong experience in capacity planning and cost control.Ability to work with volume forecasts, budgets, and performance data.Skills & CompetenciesStrong planning and analytical skillsCost-aware, optimization-driven mindsetClear communication and escalation disciplineAbility to manage pressure and multiple prioritiesHigh ownership and accountability\n
