About the RoleAs a SDET engineer, you would need to be able to lead and implement the test strategy by working closely with the product engineering team. Your testing strategy has to focus on efficiency, speed and accuracy by prioritizing automation tests, automation processes then closing with manual to ensure not losing user touch points. Here at GTF, we want to share our passion for building the best products using amazing technology while having great fun doing it.\nWhat You Will DoWork closely with the Product team (i.e., PMs, Designers, Developers, and SDET/QA) right from the inception of featuresParticipate in product & tech discussions, and refine the acceptance criteria and testing estimationUnderstand business and product requirements as related to payments and the existing service architectureWrite concise, comprehensive, detailed test plans based on business and product feature requirementsImprove the test automation experience by enhancing tools/scripts, test coverage, and/or code structure, and automate repeated manual tasks to improve self/stream's productivityTake responsibility for the quality of features and the delivery of the entire featureDebug and analyze the bugs in the application/service, aiding developers in arriving at the root causeWhat You Will NeedAt least a minimum of 2 years of experience in professional testing in Backend (experience in payment gateway testing is a plus)Proficient in one or more scripting languages: Java/PythonFamiliar with open-source automation libraries (i.e RestAssured)Familiar with continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) tooling (GitLab, Jenkins)Experience with design and developing test automation frameworkExperience in performance testing (i.e JMeter, K6, Gatling)Have analytical, debugging skills, and problem-solving with attention to detailProficient at balancing multiple efforts simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines\nAbout the TeamConsumer Payments is part of GoTo’s financial services arm.
