The Process Engineer will lead efforts to identify and eliminate waste and inefficiency through standards, system development, and process improvement for Mom’s Meals Fulfillment Centers. The position will support daily activities of the warehouse operations as well as support Continuous Improvement initiatives.At this time, we're not considering applicants that require immigration sponsorship (additional work authorization or permanent work authorization) now or in the future to work in the United States. We value our team members, and this is one way we can show it.Benefits include:-PTO, holiday pay and holiday of choice-401(k) match-Life insurance-Short-term disability-Health, dental and vision insurance-Maternity/paternity leave-Health savings account (HSA)-Flex spending accounts (FSA) – health and dependent\nPosition Responsibilities may include, but not limited toIdentify, prioritize, and analyze opportunities to eliminate waste throughout fulfillment/warehouse processesCreate, improve, and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve efficiency and overall throughputLead design and development for unit operations which includes improvements to new and existing equipment using appropriate technical evaluation and involvementPro-actively lead collaboration with cross-functional partners to develop margin improvement and technical innovation opportunitiesConduct and/or manage experiments, trials, and analyses to validate and advance technical opportunitiesProvide effective communication and documentation of work including technical plans, experimental reports, financial analysis, and management updatesCommunicate status and issues regarding project activity on a continual basisOffer engineering support and troubleshooting assistance to the cross functional operational teamsProvide innovative technical solutions required to meet business objectives with emphasis on productivity and cost reduction Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new vendors, suppliers, and contractorsUtilize Continuous Improvement tools, including but not limited to Fish Bone Diagram, 5 Whys, Pareto Charts, FMEA, and DMAIC to support CI initiatives Ability to travel up to 30%Required Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree in engineering, technical/scientific disciplinesMinimum 3 years of relevant engineering experience within a culture of continuous process improvementProficiency with CAD software Proficiency in Microsoft Office SuiteExperience with line balance and time studiesExperience with material handling equipment Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools and processesPreferred Skills and ExperienceSix Sigma certified Experience with large capital projectsFamiliarity with PLC programming and troubleshootingKnowledge of utility (steam, water, air, NH3, etc.) design and impacts on the processPhysical RequirementsRegularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and armsFrequently required to stand, communicate, and listenOccasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouchOccasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsVisual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusAble to perform repetitive movementsAble to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)\nCompany OverviewMom’s Meals is a home-delivered meal service providing fully prepared, refrigerated meal solutions direct to homes nationwide for over 25 years.
