An offer will vary based on the applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data. Benefit Information: ABM offers a comprehensive benefits package.  For information about ABM’s benefits, visit ABM 2022 Employee Benefits |Staff and Management Team Members.\nEssential FunctionsConducts waste auditsConducts educational presentations and outreachPerforms on site-waste consultationsTrains sorter, faculty, students, and restaurant staff on proper sortingDevelops, analyzes, and revises standard operating procedures related to waste managementPrepares compliance and waste audit reports using data collection, analysis and interpretation, as well as narrative summaries; ensures monitoring and tracking of sorting programs and oversees auditsCoordinates the purchase, proper use, maintenance, and inspection of necessary safety and personal protective equipment (PPE) for sortersFacilitates a work environment that promotes a sustainable cultureActs as an advisor to the entire management team on best zero waste practicesOversees the sorting programPerform data entry in the work order systems.Create and track purchase orders in the accounting system.Performs other administrative dutiesRequirementsBachelor’s preferably in Environmental Studies/Science, Sustainability, OR equivalent years of experienceStrong data and analytic skills; ability to translate data into actionable intelligenceThorough knowledge of San Francisco Zero Waste regulationsDemonstrates exemplary customer service and excellent verbal, written, leadership, and interpersonal skillsAbility to train, influence and motivate team membersAbility to communicate and work effectively with people from various backgroundsBilingual in English, Spanish, Cantonese/Mandarin is a plusGraphic design is a plus, but not requiredBasic knowledge of PowerPoint and excelPresentation skillsFlexibility in schedule\nPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of duties that are required of the employee for this job.
