Here at The Exploration Company, we are developing, producing, and operating Nyx, a modular and reusable space orbital vehicle that can eventually be refuelled in orbit and that can carry cargo - and potentially humans in the longer run. We want you, as a talented Working Student for AI & Computer Vision for Space Navigation, to help us in developing, training, and validating AI-powered frameworks for our missions in Space. Key Responsibilities In your capacity as a Working Student for AI & Computer Vision for Space Navigation, your duties will include (depending on your knowledge and interest): AI Model Development & Benchmarking Implementation of Vision-Based- Navigation algorithms Help integrate physical constraints into deep learning models Implement features for Explainable AI Support the training of AI models on cloud infrastructure What we would love to see from you In the role of a Working Student for AI & Computer Vision for Space Navigation, ideally, you will have the following: Currently enrolled in a master's program in Computer Science, Robotics, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, or a related STEM field And one of the following: Initial practical experience with deep learning frameworks Proficient in Python; knowledge of C++ is considered a plus Strong interest in autonomous docking, orbital mechanics, and the unique challenges of the space environment Good command in German and English Why you should join us!
