We ensure that each team has timely and accurate information on budgets, resourcing and actual results. We help leaders make informed decisions and operate with cost efficiency and continuous improvement in mind. We help set the long-term financial strategy for the company, including developing CFS’s understanding of our products’ unit economics.This role will be an integral part of the FP&A team, supporting various functions and collaborating closely with internal stakeholders. In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined below, this role will also work with teams across the organization to ensure accurate budget mapping, data integrity, and process improvement. A successful candidate will engage with budget leaders to monitor purchase orders, analyze budget variances, and contribute to the financial reporting process.\nWhat you'll do:Financial forecasting & reporting:Track and report on factory financial performance to business managersData cleanliness: Develop and maintain processes to improve data accuracy and help our factory transition from R&D into a manufacturing environmentCost Modeling: Advance the factory cost model by applying operational insights to deliver detailed analyses of COGS and the full P&L cost modelERP Requirements Development:Develop finance requirements to improve ERP tracking of factory costsAd-Hoc ReportingWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or STEM fields7+ years of experience working at a fast growing technology company or other dynamic business with development cycles and change akin to that of a growth companyStrong understanding of budget development, forecasting, and reporting of financial analysis to support operational decision-makingStrong understanding of company long-term financial planning, including revenue, cost, investment, cashflow analysis and valuationStrong understanding of GAAP and 3 statement financialsStrong Excel and SQL experienceUnderstanding of Enterprise Applications (e.g., ERP, MES, etc) and basic underlying data architectureHigh energy and engagement, with flexibility to complete work during periodic very busy timesExcellent verbal and written communication & data presentation skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teamsCollaborative work styleBonus points for: Eagerness to understand business problem sets unique to manufacturing and R&D environmentsTechnical mindset and strong organizational skillsFamiliarity with Python or similar programming languagesTrack record of collaborating with other teams on building and sharing analytic toolsAbility to perform activities such as typing and sitting for extended periods of timeWillingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionallyWork in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenicsDesire to learn on the job and take on complex problemsMust-have requirements: Ability to perform activities such as typing and sitting for extended periods of timeWillingness to do occasional travelWork in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics\n$110,000 - $185,000 a yearSalary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
