People who’ll bring new perspectives, solve tough problems, and thrive as part of a team. If that’s you and this role fits, we want to hear from you.Join the power movement as a Senior Supply Chain EngineerThe Senior Supply Chain Engineer role is to partner with different business units, such as Design Engineering, R&D, Quality and Procurement, to coach & develop critical suppliers in achieving performance targets, expanding capacity, hitting certain quality requirements and providing consistent product.\nWhat you'll do:Lead troubleshooting efforts and root cause investigations while ensuring effective  corrective action implementationPerform on-site and virtual audits for new domestic and international suppliersAnalyze supplier capabilities and approve suppliers for use in providing specific products or servicesPartner with Engineering to support defining program quality requirements for specific components. Train suppliers on CFS quality requirements and systemsExperience with industrial fabrication (construction, valves, pumps, molten salt) Review and approve quality deliverables from suppliersPartner with Buyers, Category Managers, and Supplier Integration Managers to provide formal input on source selection decisions while ensuring quality risks are mitigatedConduct or support first article inspectionsMonitor and observe test proceduresInspect parts accurately using approved  measurement tools and interpret inspection reports. Develop inspection and test proceduresDesign and develop required process controls and quality plansFacilitate the creation and execution of PFMEA processes and applicable elements of APQPSupport ISO 9001 implementationSupport creation of manufacturing instructions to document quality critical characteristicsPerform process capability studies and measurement systems analysisCollaborate with a cross-functional team of Buyers and Manufacturing, Design, and Operations Engineers to establish high-quality manufacturing lines and system prototypesSupport cost reduction projects including planning, coordinating with stakeholders, estimating completion, and project updatesBe a Change Agent.  Identify gaps in processes, articulating gap closure plans, and manage performance improvement against a specified schedulePartner with Supplier Integration Managers on capability identification and development.  Support and monitor production ramp-up and capacity expansion projects.Support internal and external negotiations at high levels or with persons of influence frequentlySupport the development of contractual documents with Legal and Supply ChainEstablish preferred suppliers by category. Create and implement related management programs to develop, continuously improve, manage the performance of, and monitor KPIs and KPOs within the supply base.Adhere to all supply chain policies, procedures, guidelines and instructions including those regarding the procurement of materials, intellectual property, and export complianceWhat we’re looking for:Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering7+ years experience in Supplier Development or Quality rolesExperience with chemical production and industrial process equipment fabricationExperience with  advanced technical activities such as supplier assessments & audits, including Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001, AS 9100, IATF 16949)Knowledge of advanced technical activities such as product manufacturing (e.g., machining), special processes (e.g., Plating, Heat treat, Welding), and chemical manufacturingMastery of specialized quality tools such PPAP (PFMEA, Control Plan, MSA) capacity analysis and Lean Six Sigma initiativesExperience in developing  and implementing continuous improvement projectsExperience using  ERP systems and other procurement toolsDemonstrated ability to teach and educate others that have little background on the subject at handExperience with Google SuiteExceptional communications skillsStrong collaboration and relationship building skillsTime management skillsWorks with IntegrityStrong customer service skillsRemarkable problem-solving skillsWorks well under pressurePossesses excellent judgmentEffectively partners with suppliers within a global supply baseBonus points for: Masters DegreeCertifications preferred: Six Sigma Certification (Yellow, Green or Black Belt) (preferred) and/or ISM / ASCM certification(s)Experience in a start-up or high growth environmentExperience in manufacturing environmentExperience in highly regulated industries Must-have Requirements: Perform extended activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, sitting, etc.Perform extended periods of phone or teleconference workWillingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call regularly; travel expected to be minimum 25%Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, high current, pressure systems, and cryogenics\n$110,000 - $185,000 a yearSalary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
