The specialist will assist the quality engineering team in developing quality control procedures and processes but remains a hands-on contributor to these verification activities and will be relied upon to execute various inspections, tests, and processes. The specialist may also be called upon to assist in training quality inspectors and technicians on these processes. The quality specialist role is great preparation for future growth opportunities within the quality organization, and can be considered as a hybrid role serving both advanced quality technician and basic quality engineering needs.\nWhat you'll do:Develop and deploy quality control processes and protocols for use by quality techniciansExecute quality inspection and verification activities as requiredServe as a quality control generalist, with the ability to flex across multiple disciplinesMaintain and report KPI’s related to the quality control functionGrow and develop the skills needed to transition to a quality engineering roleSupport testing and inspection activities, including electrical, mechanical, and cryogenicsAssist in managing inventory movements and MRB coordinationManage and maintain the 5s program for quality controlAssist the calibration coordinator in performing routine calibration activities as requiredWhat we’re looking for:High school diploma3+ years of experience in a quality or manufacturing environmentExperience performing inspection or verification activitiesExperience assisting in the development and maintenance of SOP’s and work instructionsAbility to perform a wide array of tasks, including electrical, chemical, mechanical, and cryogenic testingBonus points for: Knowledge of quality system fundamentals, including risk assessments, non-conformance management, root cause analysis, etc.Experience working around high voltage, magnetic, and cryogenic hazardsBachelor’s degree in an engineering disciplineMust-have requirements:Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbsPerform activities such as stooping, climbing, typing, standing, or sitting for extended periods of timeWillingness to travel or work required nights/weekends/on-call occasionallyDedication to safety to mitigate industrial hazards that may include heat, cold, noise, fumes, strong magnets, lead (Pb), high voltage, and cryogenics\n$31 - $63 an hourSalary range for this full-time position + equity + benefits. The actual salary will depend on level, location, qualifications, and experience.
