This leader will play a critical role in shaping the systems that power our commercial operations and enable healthcare providers, patients, and partners to access and adopt our life-saving technologies. You will join a cross-functional organization spanning engineering, commercial, laboratory operations, billing, legal, quality, and finance to deliver scalable, secure, and compliant software solutions in a highly regulated clinical environment.This role requires both strategic vision and operational rigor — someone who can define long-term product direction while driving disciplined execution, balancing customer experience, commercial outcomes, and regulatory requirements.This role is based in Menlo Park, California, and will move to Sunnyvale, California in Fall 2026. It offers a flexible work arrangement, with the ability to work from GRAIL's office or from home. Our current flexible work arrangement policy requires that a minimum of 60%, or 24 hours, of your total work week be on-site. Your specific schedule, determined in collaboration with your manager, will align with team and business needs and could exceed the 40% requirement for the site. At our Menlo Park campus, Tuesdays and Thursdays are the key days where we encourage on-site presence to engage in events and on-site activities.\nResponsibilitiesOwn the product vision and multi-year roadmap for GRAIL’s commercial software portfolio, aligning strategy to company objectives and market needsServe as the senior product leader across commercial software initiatives, representing product in cross-functional leadership forumsDevelop deep understanding of provider, patient, and internal commercial workflows, including billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle managementTranslate customer, stakeholder, and regulatory requirements into clear product requirements and prioritized backlogsLead end-to-end product development from discovery and design through launch and iterationPartner closely with engineering, program management, design, quality, legal, and compliance to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutionsEnsure adherence to FDA design controls, privacy regulations (HIPAA/GDPR), and internal quality standardsEvaluate business tradeoffs and communicate product decisions effectively across executive and operational stakeholdersBuild, mentor, and scale a high-performing team of software product managersEstablish metrics and feedback loops to measure product performance and drive continuous improvementThese responsibilities summarize the role’s primary responsibilities and are not an exhaustive list. They may change at the company’s discretion.Required Qualifications10+ years of product management experience in healthcare IT, life sciences, diagnostics, or other regulated industries3+ years of experience directly managing and developing product managersExperience leading software products subject to FDA design controls and HIPAA compliance requirementsExperience supporting billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management workflowsExperience integrating software platforms with EMRs and/or CRMsDemonstrated ability to lead through ambiguity, influence without authority, and drive alignment across cross-functional teamsProven ability to prioritize strategically, negotiate scope, and deliver measurable business outcomesBS in a technical, scientific, engineering, or quantitative discipline or equivalent experiencePreferred QualificationsExperience building provider-facing, laboratory, or clinical workflow softwareExperience developing platforms that integrate with third-party systems, partners, and enterprise ecosystemsFamiliarity with GDPR and global data privacy considerationsDomain knowledge in liquid biopsy or molecular diagnosticsExperience scaling commercial software platforms in high-growth healthcare organizationsAdvanced degree (MS, MBA, PhD, or equivalent) in a relevant fiel\nThe expected, full-time, annual base pay scale for this position is $224K-$321K. This role may be eligible for other forms of compensation, including an annual bonus and/or incentives, subject to the terms of the applicable plans and Company discretion. This range reflects a good-faith estimate of the range that the Company reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire; the actual compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as the candidate’s qualifications.
