The qualified individual must be highly motivated with the skills to prioritize, perform, and communicate effectively in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional management, organizational, and communication skills; has a strong background in Clean Air Act statutory, regulatory and policy, with a focus on permitting and enforcement. \nJob Description:Draft Clean Air permits, including minor source, Title V, PSD, and major nonattainment permitsDraft permits must be consistent with SIP approved rules, EPA regulations and policy, and applicable statutesReview proposed permits drafted by State and local agencies for conformity with regulations and policy, including determinations of applicability of regulations, potential to emit, monitoring, and control technologyDraft and review control technology determinations, including BACT and LAER determinationsReview draft regulations for conformance with EPA requirementsResearch alternative approaches to compliance with EPA regulations based on similar State rulesMentor less experienced staffManage multiple projects and small project teams simultaneouslyCollaborate and communicate effectively with multiple clients and internal stakeholdersWrite technical documentsQualifications and Skills: BS or MS in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Chemical, or EnvironmentalKnowledge of Clean Air Act laws and regulations as they pertain to permittingFive years of experience implementing Clean Air Act regulations, including drafting and/or reviewing Clean Air Act permits or permit applicationsProficiency in Excel and WordStrong writing and communication skills and the ability to present project findings to different stakeholders, both orally and in writingStrong time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight deadlines, while providing quality client-ready deliverables\n$90,000 - $120,000 a year\nERG offers competitive salaries and excellent benefits, including health and dental insurance, life insurance, long-term disability, educational benefits, FSAs, a generous 401k plan, profit sharing, an EAP, 11-20 paid vacation days per year, 10 paid holidays per year, 56 hours or more of sick leave (based on the state you work in) per year (pro-rated for part-time) and more.
