This role will be responsible for managing Operations, Support & Planning of various Platforms deployed on OSS, EMS & Underlying Layers along with Service Desk platforms in use across the Organization. The role is also responsible for overseeing CAPEX & OPEX planning / execution of the department budgets. The role reports directly to the Manager OSS & Network Performance with an extended team of 12 team members. What does Specialist/Expert OSS Operations & Support do? Handle day-to-day operations of OSS, EMS, Service Desk & other related platforms. Device strategy to oversee smooth operations & transformation of Service Desk Platforms in use across organization. Provide Techno functional support for smooth running of Service Desk Platforms. Work on proposals / strategies to improve cost efficiencies. Tactical Planning & Execution to ensure risk mitigation and sustainability of NOC Platforms. Keep close contact with Supplier / Partner Teams to ensure smooth operations of NOC Platforms. Liaise with Sourcing / Procurement teams to ensure timely delivery enabling NOC to meet strategic & transformational objectives. Ensure continuous exploration & discovery of emerging technologies / platforms for potential adoption enabling cutting edge deployments & modernization for NOC. What is Specialist/Expert Service Desk Solutions? Responsible for in-house development of applications & utilities to support fast changing emerging business needs of organization. In addition, the role also supports several automation initiatives to efficiency to operational processes. The role reports directly to the Manager SQM & Automation Support. What does Specialist/Expert Service Desk Solutions do? Develop & Customize Software Solutions to meet business needs particularly pertaining ITSM and IT Asset Management Platforms. Create and implementing the source code of new applications. Testing and debugging the code. Evaluate existing applications and performing updates and modifications. Develop technical handbooks to represent the design and code of new applications. Design creative prototypes according to specifications. Evaluate existing applications to reprogram, update and add new features. Work on variety of Automation & ETL Jobs to add process efficiency. Prepare technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code Jazz is an equal opportunity employer. Requirements for Specialist/Expert OSS Operations & Support: BE (Electronics, Electrical, Telecoms, Comp Science), 4 - 7 Years of Relevant Experience for Expert and 1-3 or fresh for Specialist Role. Have demonstrated capability of working in NOC Environment. In depth experience of working on diverse OSS & Service Desk Platforms in a Telco Environment. Have good insight on emerging technologies and prevailing industry norms / standards. Experience of deployment of OSS, Network and Service Desk Platforms through the delivery lifecycle from initial design to full operational handover. Have sound knowledge of all relevant technologies as well as ample knowledge of MS-Office. Have good understanding of IP Networks and related technologies. Ability to work under pressure Requirements for Specialist/Expert Service Desk Solutions: Skills Required Hands on Experience of Cloud based & On Prem ITSM & Digital Workflow platforms like ServiceNow, Atlassian. Comprehensive Full Stack Development Skills. Profound Experience on Java/JavaScript / jQuery and other JS Libraries. Experience of C# and Asp.Net. In depth understanding of REST / SOAP APIs and creation of APIs Strong Experience of MS SQL. Experience of Angular. Experience of CSS/Bootstrap and HTML. Hands on Exp of cross technology Mobile App Dev, Tools like Flutter. Good understanding of ITIL Processes & Related industry standards. Contribute to Project documentation and user guides Educational & other Requirements BS (Computer Science, Software Engineering), BE (Electronics, Electrical, Telecoms) Learning Aptitude Problem Solver Team Player Ability to work under pressure Understanding of software development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git, SVN). Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team. Knowledge of mobile development (e.g., Android, iOS)
