Our Stack Our main application stack is Ruby on Rails as our framework of choice - with Javascript (ES6) and React/Redux for the frontend. We heavily use MariaDB, Elasticsearch, Kafka, MongoDB and Redis. Our AI stack is built on LangChain and LangGraph for orchestrating LLM workflows and multi-agent systems, with PostgreSQL for state persistence and Elasticsearch for semantic search. We integrate with cloud LLM providers like OpenAI. For observability and monitoring, we use Langfuse for LLM tracing, along with tools like Sentry, NewRelic, and Grafana. How you will contribute to Skroutz vision We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our CoreML team* which is at the forefront of making AI assistants first-class citizens in our marketplace. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining our AI shopping assistant and AI support agent, working on cutting-edge conversational AI systems that serve millions of users. In this role, you will contribute to both our Python-based AI services and our main Ruby on Rails application, bridging the gap between our AI capabilities and our core marketplace platform. As part of the CoreML team, you will: Design, develop, and maintain production AI systems including our conversational search agent and support assistant Build and optimize LLM-powered workflows using LangChain and LangGraph for multi-agent orchestration Implement semantic search capabilities and multi-source data fusion to provide accurate, contextual responses Develop and maintain APIs and services using FastAPI that integrate AI capabilities into our marketplace Integrate AI features into our main Ruby on Rails application, ensuring seamless user experiences Work with state-of-the-art LLM technologies and contribute to architectural decisions about our AI infrastructure Collaborate with data scientists, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver AI features that amaze our users Build robust evaluation frameworks and monitoring systems to ensure quality and reliability of AI systems Optimize system performance, latency, and cost efficiency of LLM-based applications Stay current with the rapidly evolving AI/LLM ecosystem and bring innovative solutions to the team 3+ years of working experience as a Software Engineer in a professional setting Strong programming skills in Python or similar object-oriented language with experience building production systems Solid understanding of web architecture and RESTful API design Experience with databases (relational and/or document-based) Solid algorithmic and software engineering background Intrigued by the product as much as by the technology Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills and team spirit Passion for AI and eagerness to work with LLM technologies We will appreciate if you have Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or similar LLM orchestration frameworks Familiarity with FastAPI or similar modern Python web frameworks Good knowledge of Ruby/Ruby on Rails - our main backend stack Experience with OpenAI API or other LLM providers Knowledge of Elasticsearch or other search technologies Understanding of prompt engineering and LLM best practices Experience with observability tools and LLM tracing systems Comfort with TDD and testing practices (pytest, unit testing) Experience deploying ML/AI systems to production Contributed to open-source projects in the AI/ML space Shareable open source contributions or personal projects which will help us in the evaluation process
