Aulus Lindos Rhodes We are currently hiring for our 5* resort All-Inclusive 5-star Family Resort in Rhodes, Greece| Aulūs Lindos Rhodes by Domes an ultimate luxury experience, located Dodecanese. The Role: At Domes Resorts the Pizzaiolo/Pizza Maker is a highly skilled professional whose expertise focuses on Italian cuisine, Pizza technique, or culinary element. The Pizzaiolo/Pizza Maker also brings a high level of knowledge, precision, and creativity to the kitchen. The role involves not only cooking but also ensuring consistency, training staff, and contributing to menu innovation. High standards of quality, hygiene, and food safety must be maintained, while managing the section efficiently during service. With a strong blend of culinary creativity, technical expertise, and leadership abilities, the Pizzaiolo/Pizza Maker plays a pivotal role in elevating the dining experience and ensuring that the restaurant excels in its area of focus. Some of the responsibilities: Specialized Food Preparation and Quality Control Oversee kitchen's operations according to established menus and always maintaining the highest quality standards. Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop daily and seasonal Italian restaurant menus, complementing culinary offerings and meeting customer preferences. Maintain strict quality control standards to ensure consistency, freshness, and flavor excellence. Conduct regular tastings and inspections to uphold the highest standards of quality and presentation. Monitor inventory levels of Italian restaurant ingredients and supplies, and coordinate with Executive Chef, Sous Chef and suppliers to ensure timely replenishment. Minimize waste and maximize efficiency in ingredient usage. Training and Mentoring Junior Chefs Provide guidance and instruction to junior staff to help them hone their skills by teaching them specific techniques. Mentoring less experienced cooks, helping them refine their skills, grow in their careers, and maintain the high standards of the Italian kitchen. Health, Safety, and Sanitation Compliance Enforce strict sanitation and hygiene practices in the kitchen, including equipment maintenance, cleaning schedules, and compliance with health regulations. Implement proper food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure food safety. Creativity and Innovation in Specialization Stay updated on trends in the culinary world, particularly related to the Pizza making or Italian cuisine, and incorporate new ideas and techniques as appropriate. Attend culinary events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge. Useful to have: Culinary degree or equivalent certification from a recognized culinary institution. Thorough knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation regulations, and kitchen procedures. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a professional kitchen, with a focus on high-volume or fine dining environments. In-depth knowledge of various Italian cooking & Pizza making techniques, ingredients, and food presentation. Excellent knowledge of the English language, a second language will be considered a plus. Very good knowledge of MS Office and POS (Point of Sales) systems. What you will bring: The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven experience in a supervisory role, demonstrating strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent planning and organizational skills for ensuring that workstations are set up correctly, staff members are efficiently assigned to tasks, and dishes are prepared and sent out in a timely manner. Ability to build relationships, internal and external, to the hotel and the Company.
