Now Hiring for the 2025-2026 school year with a tentative start date for selected candidates at the end of August/early September. NOW OFFERING PAID CREDENTIALS  - Eliminating upfront costs for necessary clearances & TB screening! PCAs placed on assignment at the Child & Career Development Center or Chester County Learning Center will start at $23 per hour and progress to $27.50 per hour (w2 employment) SCHEDULE: PCAs will work on all student days during the school calendar year, 8am - 3pm LOCATIONS: Child & Career Development Center (CCDC): 1525 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320 Chester County Learning Center (CCLC): 1635 Lincoln Hwy, Coatesville, PA 19320 The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) position is a field employee position providing one-to-one and small group emotional support and behavioral interventions to children/adolescents in a school setting. We specialize in serving children primarily diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as other special needs diagnoses PERKS OF WORKING IN A SCHOOL SYSTEM: Excellent experience to start a career making a difference every day working with individuals with special needs Perfect school day schedule for parents who would like to work in the same district as their children Great opportunity for those who are retired or seeking a change in career to work with children in schools PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support to students with disabilities, helping them participate in classroom activities, manage behavioral interventions, manage personal care, and access to educational environment as it aligns with the student's Individualized Educational Plan (IEP). Implement timely interventions focusing on behavior management, conflict resolution, anger management, and enhancing peer interaction skills, according to the goals outlined in the IEP or positive behavioral support plan set by Special Education team. Gather daily data and maintain progress notes in the designated format for each session with the child or adolescent. Offer direct assistance to students to fulfill their academic, social, emotional, and/or personal care requirements. EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE: High School Diploma OR equivalency Experience working with school aged children - preferred Experience with autism and / or other special needs - preferred CREDENTIALS: (Clearances current within 12 months) PA Child Abuse (Act 151) Clearance PA Criminal (Act 34) Clearance PA Department of Education FBI – Use code 1KG6XN TB Screening (current within 3 months) Education Documentation - Diploma OR Official Transcripts *Paid clearances & TB screening!
