Involved in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) that includes planning, design, development and testing, you will be frequently applying a broad range of tools and latest technologies, and exploring creative ways and new approaches to implementing software solutions. You will be an established software engineer with extensive experience in Java, JavaScript, application frameworks, API services development, secure development practices, and enterprise integration patterns and products. Key responsibilities include: Lead and contribute to software prototyping, design, development, and engineering approach selection Collaborate with Systems Engineers to analyze, define, and implement requirements Perform software development activities including coding, unit testing, integration, and system testing Customize and integrate tools, and support system release and deployment Ensure software quality by adhering to defined engineering processes and best practices Mentor junior engineers and participate in research, development, and continuous improvement initiatives What You’ll Bring to Make An Impact     Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience and training) Proactive, business-aware professional able to identify issues, build relationships, and drive objectives Experience in a senior role within an engineering or project environment Experience developing or supporting geospatial systems Strong knowledge of Agile/Kanban methodologies and modern DevOps practices (CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes) Experience integrating and customizing systems using open-source technologies, REST/SOAP/messaging, and tools such as JIRA and Confluence Don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes – if you meet most of them, we encourage you to submit your application .  We’re most interested in your strengths, what you want to learn and how far you want to go.      This role does requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold an active TSPV Clearance , accompanied by the ability to be successful for a DISA/OSA.   Di verse Team Members , Shared Values and a Common Purpose   Providing our customers with smarter solutions takes an incredible team with diversity of thought, experience and perspectives d riving innovation.
